Oil&Gas

Flatfish

FlatFish is a hybrid, fully autonomous underwater inspection drone developed by Saipem to perform autonomous inspections of subsea infrastructure. Designed to operate at depths of up to 3,000 metres, it carries out inspection activities on pipelines, subsea structures and other underwater assets, contributing to safer and more efficient offshore operations. Following the successful completion of functional tests at Saipem’s testing facility in Trieste, Italy, the project has entered its final phase, with FlatFish scheduled for deployment in Petrobras’ ultra-deepwater offshore operations in Brazil.

Oil&Gas

Rijeka Refinery — Urinj — Kostrena

The Rijeka Refinery, located in Urinj, Croatia, is an oil refinery that processes crude oil to produce fuels and refined petroleum products. The plant has undergone a major modernization project worth approximately €700 million, aimed at the construction of a Delayed Coking Unit and associated facilities. The project enables the refinery to process a wider range of crude oils, including heavier grades, with a capacity of up to approximately 4 million tonnes per year.

Energy

New Hydrogen Production Unit – Porto Marghera

The project aims at implementing two hydrogen production lines for the Venice biorefinery in Porto Marghera. Its primary objective is to increase the availability of hydrogen at the biorefinery to fulfill the requirements of the EcofiningTM unit in terms of quality, quantity, and availability, all while optimizing energy efficiency. As part of a phased transition to producing decarbonized hydrogen, these units are designed to significantly reduce the emission of fossil CO2 into the atmosphere by utilizing biogenic charges recirculated by the EcofiningTM unit.
