Spina supplies cable trays and accessories for the project developed by Duqm Refinery & Petrochemical Industries Company, a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between the state-owned Oman Oil Company (OOC) and the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC).
The Duqm refinery located in the Duqm Special Economic Zone (SEZD), approximately 600 km south of Muscat, Oman will have a crude oil processing capacity of 230,000 barrels per day.
Approximately 900 hectares (2,000 acres) of land were used for the construction of the refinery within the SEZD. The project will mainly involve the construction of a crude distillation / vacuum distillation unit, acid water extractors, amine units and offsite and utility systems.
The process units will include a hydrocracker unit (HCU), a hydrogen production unit (HPU), a diesel hydrotreatment unit (DHT), a saturated gas plant (SGP), a treatment unit LPG (LTU), a kerosene treatment unit (KTU). ), a sulfur recovery unit (SRU) and a delayed coking unit (DCU).
Natural gas for the refinery will come from the Saih Nihayda gas plant in central Oman and piped to the new Duqm gas supply station (GSS) via a new 221 km long 36-inch diameter pipeline.
