Spina supplies cable trays and accessories for the first system built in Italy that integrates concentrated solar power with photovoltaics.
In Partanna (Trapani area), a 83,000 m2 solar field has just been inaugurated (about 10 football fields) with an installed power of 4.26 MWe. The plant is able to produce electricity for over 1,400 families, about 30% of the population of the municipal area, with 3 kW domestic users.
The integration of thermal energy storage systems is an important aspect, since it allows to have thermal energy that can be converted into electricity and, therefore, to program production to meet the energy demand. In this way, it is possible to decouple the collection of solar energy which depends on the day-night cycle and the weather conditions from the production of electricity, linked instead to the demand from users.
Spina, thanks to its thirty years of experience in the energy field, has been able to provide the best solution in terms of service and materials supplied: hot-dip galvanized cable ladders, perforated and closed-bottomed cable trays made in different sizes. It also supplied accessories such as shelves, slotted profiles and plates to ensure the correct functioning of the photovoltaic system.
