JSD 6000 is a Saipem DP3 multipurpose vessel designed for offshore pipelay operations in both J-lay and S-lay configurations, as well as heavy-lift installation activities. The vessel is capable of laying pipelines up to 36 inches in J-lay mode and up to 60 inches in S-lay mode, and is equipped with a main crane with a lifting capacity of up to 5,200 tonnes.

Zohr, an offshore gas field located in the Shorouk area of Egypt, represents the largest discovery of its kind in the Mediterranean.
