Zohr, an offshore gas field located in the Shorouk area of Egypt, represents the largest discovery of its kind in the Mediterranean. Identified using advanced offshore exploration techniques, this massive natural gas project lies approximately two hundred kilometers north of Port Said.
With vast reserves, Zohr has the potential to meet Egypt’s energy demands for many years to come. Moreover, it positions the country to become a significant player in liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports within the Mediterranean region.
The project required the implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions to develop infrastructure that adhered to strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards, from the initial exploration phase to production commencement.
